The Punjab Tragedy 1947
|
Description |
Published in 1949, author in the preface shares the pain and distress he felt while writing the book, but as a duty to tell truth impelled him to write this book. The book undoubtedly is a story of bloodshed, killing, burning, loot, arson, rape, abductions and wild fanaticism of the worst ever type the world has ever witnessed or is likely to. It is a story of woes, miseries, cries, lamentations, tears and tribulations of the most heartening and piteous nature, of countless innocent men, women and children. It shows the depth of degradation human beings sank in these civilized times. It is clearly a matter of shame to the perpetrators and planners of these diabolic crimes.[edit]
