Gurbani Sangeet Pracheen Reet Ratanavli

Description The bulk of Gurbani text of the sacred Sikh scripture "Guru Granth Sahib," which has been composed in selected Indian classical "Ragas". Each "Raag" has its own metrical rules and regulations for its written composition and its singing. This volume has been written about "Gurmat Sangeet" by the actual practitioners and singers of Gurbani in classical Ragas. They have recorded all the procedures, tunes and techniques of singing and the permitted musical instruments for the singing of Gurbani in the prescribed mode. It is a rare collection and perhaps, the first book on Gurmat sangeet. It is also a chronicle of rich Sikh art, music and heritage. The knowledgeable authors have put all the complex nuances of Gurbani music in black and white for the future generations. It has an everlasting value and significance[edit]
