Description The book written in Hindi narrates the history of the Sikhs from Guru Nanak's time upto the partition of Punjab in 1947. Beginning with the socio-political conditions prevailing in India at the time of Guru Nanak's birth, it covers Babur's invasion of India in 1526, martyrdom of two Sikh Gurus, Guru Arjun Dev and Guru Tegh Bahadur for the vindication of human rights. Thereafter, it deals with the founding of the Khalsa Panth by the tenth Sikh Guru, the various Sikh warriors and their sacrifices, establishment of Sikh Misls and a sovereign Sikh state by Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Namdhari Movement in the post Maharaja Ranjit Singh Period.[edit]
