The Punjab And Delhi In 1857

Description This first volume of this book traces the factors and circumstances leading to the Mutiny of Indian troops against the British in 1857 in India and the massacres of the British military and civil population by the Mutineers. However, the patronizing language used for the Britishers by the author makes his account somewhat biased and subjective; otherwise his factual account of the reverse of the British on the whole tallies with the records so far as the major incidents are concerned.
