This document contains certain suggested amendments made by the chief Khalsa Dewan to the All India Gurdwara Act which was tabled in the Parliament by a Sikh Member of parliament as late as 1958. So far no such bill has been passed. These proposed amendments of Sikh representatives and the Act's Jurisdiction etc. to the bill tabled in the parliament. The document is published for circulation among the representative Sikh organizations and eminent, enlightened Sikhs. The document reflects the fears of Chief Khalsa Dewan about the possible dominance of one Sikh political party in the Gurdwara Management. It considers some of the provisions of the existing bill as politically motivated smacking of vested interests.[edit]
