Pali te Punjabi

Description This research paper brings out similarities and deviations between Pali language and Punjabi. While bulk of Buddhist texts have been written in Pali, Gurbani and Gurmat texts are by and large written in Punjabi. The scholarly author tries to trace the origin and evolution of these languages. His extensive alphabetical compilation of similar words in Sanskrit, Pali and Punjabi words brings out the inter relatedness of these languages. The whole paper reflects the deep and intensive scholarly study of the author. The whole narration is precise, comparative and very informative for linguistic scholars[edit]
