The Vedic Islam
|
Description |
This book with a self-contradictory title brings out several similarities between the Hindu Sacred text known as the "Vedas" and the Islamic holiest scripture "The Koran". The author traces the impact of the Vedas and some of its concepts on the Islamic holy book. He is also critical of those Islamic scholars and Islamic clerics who conceive of God as a patron of those who praise and flatter "Allah" and in doing so belittles the selfless stature of God. The book, though scholarly, is bit confusing and less appealing[edit]
