This volume contains a summary of the lectures and discussions held during a summer camp organized by a section of the Indian National Congress in 1940. This section of radical and revolutionary congressman had united under the banner of "League of Radical Congressmen". These congressmen disapproved of peaceful agitational movements like Satyagraha and non-cooperation and aimed at adopting radical measures to bring about India's independence and civil liberties for the Indian masses. The league consisted of the leading intellectuals and social reformists of those times. The tone and tenor of these discussions and speeches reflect their impatience at the slow pace of freedom movement.[edit]
