Sab Ton Vadhiya Kissa Sayad Raiheme De Bahadure

Description This poetic composition belonging to the "kissa kav" gense of Punjabi folk literature narrates the story of a brave, honest Punjabi youth and his characterless wife. It narrates the hero's slaughter of his delinquent wife and his honest confession before the police. The composition highlights the high moral character of the hero and the degraded character of his wife. Such incidents are quite common in the rural Punjab and form a subject matter of many folklore poetic compositions. It is both entertaining and instructive.[edit]
