Millions Live Again!

Description The present publication is a survey of the relief measures undertaken to help millions of Hindu/Sikh refugee migrants who poured into East Punjab following India's simultaneous independence and partition. It takes note of the relief arrangements in terms of food, clothing, medical help and financial doles and temporary shelters in camps in order to temporarily rehabilitate those refugees. It was a massive exercise which succeeded in accommodating such a large population through the allotment of evacuee property. The report is quite comprehensive, and illustrated with photographs and statistics[edit]
