Inside Pakistan
|
Description |
This perceptive book is a critique of Pakistan as it was created as the largest Islamic state on the aggressive demand of Mohd. Ali Jinnah and his Muslim League. The conditions that soon prevailed inside Pakistan soon after its creation shocked and shattered the votaries of Pakistan. The scramble for power, demands for the implementation of rigid fundamentalist Shariat law and the sectarian divisions within the Muslim society were likely to hinder the viability and progress of the Pakistani state. Majority of observations made by the author about the future of Pakistan in this book have come to be true.[edit]
