  Kurukshetra University
PDL partnered with Kurukshetra University and did a pilot project for the University in January 2006. Here it digitized over 430 manuscripts in five different scripts. PDL is grateful to Prof. RP Hooda, Vice Chancellor, and Mr. RD Mehla, librarian of Jawahar Lal Nehru Library for making this project a success. The University's Dean, Dr. G. Khurana while explaining the digitization project to eminent personalities at the Manuscript Day function said "...hamari university ke upar Nanak sahai ho gae hain" Currently, the University has placed a request to the PDL to digitize an additional 6500 manuscripts and 1500 rare books. This project is pending funding approval. A noteworthy recognition of PDL's effort has been fully detailed on the University's website.

 Panjab Languages Department
In June 2006, the PDL initiated digitization of the entire collection of 604 manuscripts of the Panjab Languages Department. The collection was of a formidable size, 2,70,000 folios. The project concluded in January 2008. PDL also undertook the digitization of some of the collection of department?s rare books section. This project was made successful by the efforts of Mr. Mohan Ram Banga, Director, and Mr. Chetan Singh, Deputy Director amongst others. Their foresight has put the department on the world map.

 Chief Khalsa Divan
PDL successfully finished the digitization of 29 manuscripts in their possession. A great number of the items were quite old and precious, creating nearly 37,000 folios. PDL compiled all the digitized manuscripts into a Digital Library that was made functional at their headquarters in Sri Amritsar jio. S. Bhag Singh ji Ankhi has assured us that Chief Khalsa Divan will continue to work in coordination with PDL to get more manuscripts digitized. In due course of time, PDL will also take up the digitization of historical records that have been generated in the course of Chief Khalsa Divan?s hundred year history.

 The Sikh Review
In November 2007, the entire collection of The Sikh Review since 1953 was successfully digitized. The management, especially S. Saran Singh, were extremely cooperative. They provided us with the permission and the copies that were missing in our collection. A few issues were also provided by Dr. Kirpal Singh. The digitized issues have been run through OCR and are available online in searchable format now.

 Panjab Virasat Charitable Trust
PDL started a digitization project for the Panjab Virasat Charitable Trust in September 2007. Out of a collection of over 800 manuscripts and about 200 rare books, so far 245 manuscripts and four rare books have been digitized. The data amounts to about 58,000 folios. This rich collection covers all languages and subjects comprising religion, medicine, history and literature. We thank Mr. Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa for his continued support. It has been a pleasure working with him as he himself is an avid lover of rare literature.

 Delhi Sikh Guruduara management Committee
Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee has a collection of 36 manuscripts. All of their manuscripts were digitized by the PDL in May 2008 which amounted to about 23,000 folios. Three fulltime employees were put to services of the committee and the project was completed in two months.

 Shiromani Gurduara Parbandhak Committee
In December 2008 a project to digitize the complete treasure of manuscripts and other literature with the SGPC was undertaken. The project is still on in the Parikarma of Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Amritsar jio. So far we have digitized about 114,300 folios from 300 manuscripts. The project will take about another eighteen months to complete. The collection includes manuscripts, books, periodicals, newspapers and photographs concerning Sikhs history, theology and philosophy. The PDL has been permitted to digitize all the 735 manuscripts, 2217 rare books, about 10,000 historical photographs, newspapers since 1923 that cover significant historical events including World War II, Partition of Panjab (1947), Panjabi Suba Morcha and the later events. The PDL has deployed nine employees, four digital cameras and a flatbed scanner for the task.

 Nirmal Sanskrit Vidyala, Banaras
The project for the digitization of the manuscripts at the Nirmal Sanskrit Vidyala was started in June last year, and was finished in three months in two phases that involved two separate venues. In all, about 30 manuscripts were digitized producing about 29,000 folios and 62 GBs of data.

 Government Museum and Art Gallery
Taking forward its long professional ties with the Chandigarh Museum and Art Gallery, PDL initiated a digitization project for the Museum in January this year, where it is digitizing the personal records of Dr. MS Randhawa, a civil servant and a great art historian. He took many initiatives to document the art of Panjab. As part of the project, PDL is digitizing all the records of MS Randhawa relating to the planning of Chandigarh containing details of the proceedings of the planning committee that includes official correspondence, records, letters etc. PDL has also undertaken the complete digitization of the coins section, some paintings, rare books and all manuscripts of the Museum. The work is currently going on in full swing at the Museum premises. So far about 81,000 folios from 193 letters and 9,800 folios from 28 books have been digitized.
