Title India Its Natives and Missions
Description The Christian missionaries who came and set up Missions in India during the British Colonial rule over India also observed closely and studied Indian society and socio-religious and cultural history of India. The present volume presents a Christian missionary's perspective about the various facets of Indian society such as races, languages, religious, idolatry, castes, Mohammadanism, political governance, modes of private life and status of knowledge and education. Finally, it presents the salient features of Christianity and work done by Christian Missions to spread the Gospel. The book, besides being a propagandist work on Christianity, is also a scholarly study of India's history and culture.
