Title Puran Jati Te Matraie Loonan
Description This book describes the centuries-old Indian legend of Puran Bhagat who resists the lustful advances of his young stepmother and bears utmost brutality of his credulous father. His moral victory and good moral character raises him to the status of a saint. This prose tract highlights the virtuous character of Puran Bhagat and denigrates the degraded stepmother. The prose is a sort of sermon on moral values like human chastity, purity of character and spirit of sacrifice to uphold these values. The prose is a fine specimen of charter standardized modern Punjabi language and prose. It is interesting easily readable, informative and instructive. The whole emphasis is on the superiority of moral character.
