Transformation of Sikhism |
Description |
Transformation of Sikhism, is one of the most authentic books written by Sir Gokal Chand Narang with a foreword by Sir Jogindera Singh. Sikhism founded by Nanak was a sect of peaceful disciples but the atrocities of Mughals turned them into a band of militant warriors. The book gives a short history of the Sikhs and how this transformation of the Sikhs had begun long before the time of Guru Gobind Singh. This book gives the history of all ten Gurus and their relations with the Mughals. Finally Guru Gobind Singh baptised them and gave a definite dress code and Code of Conduct. Book also gives the history of the Sikh Misals and the time of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. In the last chapter "The Future of Sikhs" the writer says that inspite of serious differences among their leaders, the Sikhs can promptly close their ranks, whenever the Sikh interests are concerned. |
